Agôn Electronics strengthens its position in the medical market with the acquisition of CISTEO Medical
Agôn Electronics, backed by Argos Fund since 2022, announces the acquisition of CISTEO Medical, a company specialized in the development, manufacturing, and certification of contract medical devices. This strategic move marks a major milestone for Agôn Electronics, strengthening its position as a leader in the design and production of innovative medical devices.
A strategic complementarity for a unique offering in Europe
Agôn Electronics, through its Tame-Care (Tronico) entity, shares with CISTEO Medical top-tier technical expertise and a strong customer focus. The integration of CISTEO’s capabilities, particularly in the encapsulation of active medical implants, will enable the delivery of comprehensive solutions for the design, industrialization, and manufacturing of critical medical devices on the market. This acquisition paves the way for strong synergies:
- Complementary positioning: CISTEO Medical is recognized in the medical market for its expertise in the design and manufacturing of active implantable medical devices (AIMD).
- Accelerated innovation: Thanks to the recently awarded funding under the IPCEI Tech4Cure initiative and combined expertise, Agôn Electronics and CISTEO Medical will be able to develop products incorporating breakthrough technologies.
- Cross-development: Joint projects are already underway, confirming the relevance of this strategic alignment.
Bruno Picquart, CEO of AGÔN Electronics, said: “The integration of CISTEO Medical into the Agôn Electronics group supports our ambition to position ourselves as a leading player in the medical market and to offer medical devices under our own name.”
CISTEO Medical: a key player in the medical market
Founded in 2010 in the heart of Besançon’s technology hub, CISTEO Medical offers tailor-made solutions for the design, industrialization, and manufacturing of medical devices, particularly implantable ones.
